What a joy to use it This SL-3 vacuum cleaner has 12 liter (3 gal) capacity. We build these machines to withstand the most rigorous use. Many of the machines made in 1970′s are still in use. The long life expectancy is due to the fact that we are using metal components instead of plastic. For-instance, motor housing, casters, intake nozzle and latches are all metal. However, if you just want a cheap low priced vacuum cleaner made out of plastic, please consider to purchase a brand other than Centaur.

Dependable? The SL-3 is portable and very easy to roll on the carpet. It doesn’t have plastic casters, it has four steel base, double ball bearing casters. Yes, that’s right, double ball-bearing casters which is very rare amongst the vacuum cleaner. They last for a long time – 20 year from today they still roll with ease.

A vacuum cleaner is only as good as its FILTER! The SL-3 has three of them.
The paper filter will package the dirt.
The cloth filter will filter out most of the dust.
The last stage of the filters is the Micro filter which filters the air to 5 micron size.
Most recently we changed the motor to a high performance type which generates high air speed to pick up dirt. This motor is one of the best in the industry.

To make the machine first rate, the SL-3 has a power outlet into which power brush can be plugged in.

SL-5 Vacuum cleaner is a dry pick up type vacuum cleaner. Its capacity is 20 litre (5 gallon) which is the right size to clean large offices. The SL-5 Vacuum cleaner body is 1/4″ thick polyethylene while the top is chrome plated steel.

We build these SL-5 Vacuum cleaners to withstand the most rigorous use. The result is, machines made in 1970 are still in use. The long life expectancy is due to the fact that we are using metal parts instead of plastic. Case in point, the motor housing, casters, intake nozzle and latches. All of these are made from metal which will last many times longer than plastic. Of course, if you just want a vacuum cleaner which is cheap and you don’t care how long it will last, you can purchase a vacuum cleaner constructed out of plastic material from some other manufacturer.

The SL-5 Vacuum cleaner is portable. It rolls easy on the carpet. It has four steel base, double ball bearing casters. Yes, that’s right, double ball-bearing casters with expensive and durable urethane balls.  We challenge you to find another vacuum cleaner that has these type of casters. These metal casters will take the daily abuse, while the plastic casters won’t.  They will last and last for a long time – 20 years from now it will still roll easily.

The Clean Air Machine The FILTER IS THE VACUUM cleaner. Not the motor, not the container but the FILTER.
Vacuuming can be risky. The house dust you just picked up may penetrate the filter and goes back where it came from, to the room That’s where our filters excel. They stops and retains tiny dust as small as a bacteria. To be precise, 0.3 micron size dust. Now, that is small.
These filters come in two flavors

Not only the motor has ball Bearing but all the casters as well. It collects and packages the dirt into  the removable paper filter. It also has a cloth filter and a huge HEPA filter or a HEPA like filter. These filters are the largest in the vacuum cleaner industry. For regular cleaning the Regular Filter will do just fine. Buy the real HEPA only if you are fighting allergy or other airborne caused symptoms. Other than the tank which is made from heavy polyethylene, all other parts are made from steel. We are one of rare  North American company who still uses metal component making vacuum cleaner. Small wonder that we are still servicing Silentos made 30 years ago.
